Activity Overview The Pharmacological Landscape of Sickle Cell Disease Target Audience This activity is designed for an audience of nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physician associates, physicians, and social workers. Learning Objectives Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the pathophysiology of sickle cell disease.
  • Differentiate between available FDA approved treatments for sickle cell disease.
  • Utilize strategies and resources to support patients navigating treatment for sickle cell disease.

Criteria for Success To obtain a certificate of completion, a score of 70% or better on the post-test is required.
