Motivational Interviewing in Clinical Practice – Empowering Behavior Change
This course provides participants with an overview of the foundational principles of motivational interviewing (MI) and their role in supporting behavior change in clinical practice. It also equips participants with the practical skills to apply MI techniques through a case-based patient interaction, enabling them to tailor communication strategies to individual needs and effectively support behavior change. - Apply motivational interviewing techniques using a case-based patient interaction.
Continuing Education Credits This course is approved for (1) continuing education credits for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES®) by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. (NCHEC). Other healthcare professionals are welcome to participate and will receive a certificate of attendance; however, continuing education credit is only available for CHES®. Participants will receive a certificate of completion upon completion of the course evaluation. A minimum passing grade of 80% or higher is required on the post-test.
